Wearable tracking system for professional sports team.
THE POWER OF OUR METRICS
Our innovative approach is the result of the teaming up with the pioneers of the metabolic power approach, a relationship which has strengthened over time.
Moreover, you can take advantage of the energy approach, which consists in calculating the metabolic power from the running energy cost (estimated) and the speed (measured), assuming that accelerated/decelerated running on flat terrain is biomechanically equivalent to uphill/downhill running at a constant speed.
MAKE YOUR DECISIONS IN THE EASIEST
AND MOST EFFECTIVE WAY
KINEMATIC METRICS
Including all the most traditional KPIs used to describe the players
movement on the pitch. These speed- and acceleration-based
parameters are useful to assess the workload volume and intensity.
METABOLIC POWER
Covering the performance analysis’ area related to energy expenditure.
From this perspective, it is easier to understand the aerobic
and anaerobic contribution to performance, up to describing
the work/recovery balance through the metabolic power events (MPE)
MECHANICAL POWER
Covering the performance analysis’ area related to neuromuscular load.
In overcoming the limits of acceleration alone, this analysis starts
by profiling each player’s maximum acceleration capabilities (via in-situ ASP),
thus detecting all the relevant activities performed through intense
concentric (bursts) and eccentric (brakes) efforts.
HEART RATE
The HR signal is directly received from the GPS unit and displayed together
with the other parameters in the gpexe web app; this allows the simultaneous
analysis of internal and external workload over the same time period.
TIME COURSE ANALYSIS
Our instantaneous data, used to calculate all the metrics, are available
to be both displayed on the web app and exported via CSV file.
IMU
These three sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer) allow
to recognise the events which are not related to locomotion (jumps, dives,
impacts) as well as the instantaneous body orientation of the player.
DATA QUALITY
Instantaneous measures of the quality of the raw data detected
by the device. e.g. for the GPS device: Sat HDOP, Sat SNR, Sat Number.
